The programme aims to stabilize the acute malnutrition among the targeted population in Kohat, WFP is assisting the Provincial Department of Health in the implementation of a Community based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) package, in partnership with Prime Foundation. Prime Foundation is responsible for the treatment of moderately acute malnourished children 6-59 months of age and acutely malnourished pregnant and lactating women (PLW). Acutely Malnourished Children and mothers under Targeted supplementary feeding programme will be provided with specialized Ready-to-use- Supplementary-Foods. The services will be complemented with Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) through positive deviance (PD) behaviour change communication approach with the assistance of the government and Prime Foundation.
